Teeth

 All growing up I have always have spaces between my teeth. I got braces on for about a year and halfish... After getting braces off I still had some good size gaps between my teeth, due to the fact that my front teeth are all 2 mm skinnier then they should be.  Well, thanks to my step sister Kaeci I have been able to go in and get a great deal on vaneers to fill in all the extra space in my mouth! Today was supposed to be my last day into the dentist to get all the final work done. So, I took some before and after pictures of the process while in the dentist chair, ok well I had some help but it still got done.  Top pictures are obvious, well at least to me, that they are the before pictures, bottom is after. (circle to be explained in a moment) Dentist was being helpful when we got the close up. You can see his fingers to prove it. Now as for an explanation to the picture below... The dentist started by putting the teeth on to look at them before he starting gluing them in. He started on my left and started working to the right. When he got to the fifth tooth (the one that is circled) he said "That does not look good." I told him that is not what I wanted to hear. So he showed me that the tooth does not reach my gums like it should, that if it were him he would send the tooth back and have them redo it so it would look nicer. I told him lets do it and to get me a temporary tooth for the 3 weeks I have to wait for that one tooth to get molded correctly. So there will be a close up of the teeth in the future but they had to get new impression on the tooth so the correct size could be made. The impressions are a lot of stress on my gums so they were bleeding. So once the permanent one is in I will get the close up and post the new smile but for now... Here is the new smile of Lexie Millett!

MARC

So I wrote back and forth a little bit with Marc today! It was so great to hear from him! He will be home in 52 days, now! I can't believe it! He gets home June 28th and going on vacation with his family for a week, so we will be having a welcome home fire for him July 16th, we are hoping to have it up the canyon but depending on fire hazards we may have to change the location. I will for sure keep everyone updated!

My kitchen sink faucet

I was doing my dishes Wednesday evening. I turned the water on to rinse the dishes and once I turned if off, it wouldn't work correctly. Preston came over to help me out and pulled the whole thing off. Oops! It was about time to get it replaced though. It seemed to have had a leak patched in the bottom of the faucet neck, plus it was rusty and gross underneath it. The only problem is that I no longer have a water purifier, guess I get to see Mom more often to fill my water at her place.
Good thing we have Michael Mountain Moore to the rescue. I called him up and asked him when he would be available to come by and look at it and help out by fixing it and replace it. He was happy to come by and help right there and then. I was very surprised, I thought it would be a day or 2. Not only was he okay with fixing it he was okay with driving Preston and I to Home Depot, patiently waiting for me to decide on which faucet sink I wanted, giving good advise on it, and taking us home to install it that very evening. It turned out very nice! I now have the luxury of a moving faucet head, pull out faucet so I can get the hard to reach corners of my sink.

Hey I found my Blog!

I have been hearing the word "blog" pop up a lot lately, which got me thinking, "I have one of those, I wonder where it is" well lookie here... I found it! I don't think I have anything else to blog about, other then the excitement of finding my blog!

School!

Well School started up again last week! I am currently taking 16 credits! :D I changed my major (yet again I know) I decided to heck with focusing on just math but to go to elementary education instead!
My classes consist of elementary age dance (I will get to go to elementary schools and teach the kids to dance there... I'm so excited!!), ASL (I LOVE this class so far. I decided to take it with a friend and there is a cute boy in my class! YAY!!), English 2010 (my teacher wasn't there the first day so I'm not sure how this class will be yet), Ethics & Values (this one is going to be hard... I have a feeling), US Economic History (this class was so boring I started day dreaming about an hour into it and it's a 2 and 1/2 hour class. It's going to be hard too), and last but not least... Institute (or the gospel and religions around the world, I'm so excited) Then by next Spring I will get to apply for the education program! I'm so excited!! Nothing is going to stop me now! :D (I hope)

My Bad Week!

So here is the story of my not so great end of 2008/ start of 2009! It started new years eve. A few weeks ago one of the girls I work with called me up and asked if I could cover for her. I told her that is fine and I got all the information I needed to take care of her patients. Once I got up into Salt Lake County I was so lost. I didn't know what street led which way, and couldn't figure out how I just turned on one street, then not very long after it's called something else. I got lost and was looking for one patient's home for close to an hour. It ended up taking me 9 hours to make 7 visits. When really it should have taken me no more then 7 hours.
Then new years eve night, we (Patch and I) had just gone down to pick up Jennifer to go to dinner with her. We went to good old Los Hermonos. Once we were done she says "I don't feel good, can you take me back to my grandma's?" I say sure, and we loaded back into my car, drove back to Springville, and took Jen back. On the way back home I heard a loud POP. So I looked in my rear view mirror to see if I could find out what it was. It looked like I had snow all over my back window, so I thought I had been hit with a snowball. Well when none of the snow moved Patch said "I think you should pull over, your window is broken." I pulled over and the entire back window was shattered. Corner to corner, edge to edge it had spider web shattered. After looking at it for a little while, neither of us could see any holes where something could have been thrown or shot through, or any starting point of where something could have hit and bounced off. Once I was almost in tears we got back into my car and drove back to my house. On the way every bump we hit more glass fell into my back seat, making me jump every time I heard it hit.
The very next day Patch and I break up. Something just didn't feel right between the two of us and I couldn't ignore my gut. We didn't get in a fight or an argument of any kind. I just knew that it had to be done. We both ended up in tears and it was just no good. It is still a little hard to talk about it and we are currently not talking, but I know we will both be ok.
Friday, I had to go back up to Salk Lake County to cover for the same girl again. Got a little lost along the way but not as bad as Wednesday. I was so sick of driving. I am glad this week is now over!
Ok so it wasn't an entire week of bad, just 3 days... but that is almost 50% so it counts...
